ELH 100 – YuJa video distorted

Description

Automatic, scheduled YuJa recordings in ELH 100 are coming in with distorted video (audio is not impacted). The video may be black & white, may have a green, vertical bar on the left side of the screen, or may display other, intermittent video distortions.

Workaround (if available)

Consider running a manual YuJa recording as a back-up o the scheduled recording while this issue is being addresses.

Run a YuJa recording manually on the lectern PC:

  1. Open the YuJa Software Station application on the lectern PC desktop
  2. Select Single Sign On and UC Irvine, then press Sign In
  3. In the menu on the left-hand side, adjust VideoAudio, and Screen settings as needed – for more info, see: https://sites.uci.edu/classroomtechnology/quickstart/
  4. Tap your microphone to verify the level bounces under Mic Source
    1. (Optional) Enter a title and description for your video
    2. (Optional) Select a class if you are using the YuJa integration in Canvas and would like to make this recording available to an associated class
  5. Press Start to begin recording
  6. Press Stop to end recording
  7. Press Save to post the recording in your private media library
