General Assignment classrooms are all available to the University Registrar for scheduling any course, in any school or department (as opposed to specialized classrooms managed by schools or departments and only available to specific courses or programs).
SmartClassrooms are equipped with instructional technology for presenting information and interacting with students.
Lecture Halls are large classrooms in which the seating is generally stationary and often tiered.
Active Learning classrooms are designed to facilitate research-based teaching approaches in which a portion of lecture is replaced with activities for students to solve problems, collaboratively analyze course material, and reflect and get feedback on their level of understanding.
Computer-Focused classrooms can be scheduled as regular class meeting locations, booked for specific activities, or used on a drop-in basis depending on availability.
